• Helping West La Raise Its Voice!

Celebrating 70 Years in West LA

This year we proudly celebrate 70 years of service to the businesses and communities of West Los Angeles. Founded in 1945 as the “Businessman’s association of rancho Park,” its focus was to organize local business owners and to identify opportunities to provide products and services to each other and to other business communities within the fast growing Los Angeles megalopolis. By 1989 the association had grown, serving other communities in West LA, and changing its name to the Westside Chamber of Commerce, to reflect a larger geographic area. In 1993 the Chamber again reorganized as the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce to serve the specific interests of West Los Angeles. And, in 1996 and 2000 the Chamber merged with other groups to further increase its size, its strength, and to better promote local business growth and development.

    Promoting Business & Strengthening Community

Today, the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce has members ranging from local “mom ‘n’ pop” businesses to some of the nation’s largest corporate entities. We provide services to a diverse population of approximately 250,000 individuals, and support business and residential traffic that swells to over a half-million people daily. As we work to create an environment promoting business and strengthening the community, we are committed to member focus, excellence, integrity, education, teamwork, leadership, and diversity. We work hard in community service and support our members who provide jobs and resources to thousands of Los Angeles residents.

Our mission is to be recognized as the preeminent advocate and partner for business in Southern California, and we are truly excited about the future of our organization and West Los Angeles. As we grow to meet the needs of our ever-changing business and social environment, our focus will be on building, leveraging, and strengthening new and existing partnerships with the community, Neighborhood Councils, Los Angeles City Council, and many facets of local and state government. These strategic partnerships create a wealth of opportunity and we look forward to making West Los Angeles a premier place to visit, work and live.

Our mission statement is to enhance opportunities for the members of the West Los Angeles business community through referral, advocacy, and education. The Voice of West LA

The West Los Angeles Chamber is “The Voice of West Los Angeles.” In a city the size of Los Angeles, recognition is challenging and we constantly struggle to identify who and what is West Los Angeles. By working together, with the community and other Westside organizations, we can help you raise Your Voice and do more with your business.
