  • Roozbeh Farahanipour

    President 2015 – Present
    Board Member 2014 – Present

    Roozbeh is the owner of Delphi Greek Restaurant and has been involved in Los Angeles Westwood ‘s South of Wilshire business community since 2004. He joined the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce (WLACC) in 2009 and was designated the WLACC Westwood representative in 2015. He was also elected President/CEO of the Chamber in 2015.

    Farahanipour, a long-time Westwood resident, was elected as Business Representative on the Board of Westwood Neighborhood Council in 2010, 2012, and 2014. He is a member of the Friends of Westwood Library and was elected to their Board of Directors in 2013 and as Chair of Membership and Development in 2015.

    Roozbeh serves on various other boards and council’s in a leadership role including Westwood Community Council, Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed), the West Side Council of Chambers of Commerce (WC3) and the Westwood Village Rotary Club.

  • Steve Little

    Vice President

    Board Member 2011-Present

    Steve is a State Farm Insurance Agent and the President of Steve Little Insurance Agency, Inc. He specializes in individual insurance coverages as well as insurance for business owners and commercial properties. He is well versed in Auto, Fire, Life and Health Insurance as well as other financial services products. As a member of the West LA Chamber of Commerce, Steve is actively involved in supporting the Chamber and the mission of the Chamber to help other business owners be successful with their businesses.

    Steve attended Brigham Young University and studied Construction Management and Business. He eventually established his own contracting company primarily building custom homes. After several years of building custom homes Steve expanded his business by opening up a separate cabinetry division which took advantage of the latest automation available in the industry to offer a consistent finished product to his customers. In 2008, Steve sold both of those businesses and relocated back to California to help manage his Dad’s insurance office. On November 1, 2010 Steve was appointed by State Farm Insurance as a captive Agent and opened the doors of his own Insurance Agency.

  • Elham Yaghoubian

    Chief Financial Officer
    Board Member 2015 – Present

    Elham is a human rights activist, cultural advisor, and president of Tower of Babel a language services company, which provide certified translation services in 50 languages, Interpreters, Tutoring, Dialect Coaching, Voice-Over Talent, and Cultural Branding Expertise.

    She received her Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language Translation in Tehran and pursued her studies for a master degree in Political Science and International Relations at the California State University of Los Angeles. She wrote her first book when she was 16, published 4 books and numerous articles and frequently travels to give educational lectures about human rights in different seminars.

    Elham worked for California National Guard as the Cultural and community Outreach Adviser prior her involvement with Museum of Holocaust and has been adviser and board member of a number of non-profit organizations.

    As a director of West LA Author’s Club, she in charge of a program which introduce the writers, thinkers and literary activists of our community on a monthly basis.

  • Ersen Engin

    Board Member 2018 – Present

    General Manager, Turkish Airlines Los Angeles

     

    Ersen Engin has spent almost 20 years in the aviation industry working with Turkish Airlines. Ersen started with Turkish Airlines in the Accounting Department in Istanbul in 1997 and since then has held several positions within the company. Today, Engin is the General Manager of Turkish Airlines Los Angeles. As General Manager of Turkish Airlines Los Angeles, Ersen currently oversees marketing, customer sales, agency sales, cargo sales and aircraft operations.

    He came to Los Angeles in September 2015 from his previous position as General Manager in Manchester, England and before that, General Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and General Manager in Doha, Qatar. Ersen holds a BA in Mathematics from Marmara University. He resides with his family and three boys in Los Angeles.

  • Chris Gray

    Chair - Land Use Committee

    Board Member 2016 – Present

    Chris Gray is the Executive Vice President for Moss & Company Property Management. He joined Moss & Company in 2011 and has been instrumental in building Moss & Company’s multifamily business from 4,500 to 10,000 units under management in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Prior to joining Moss & Company, he spent 10 years in sales and marketing with the E&J Gallo Winery and Lumenis Medical.

    Chris was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from LMU in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing. He is a proud member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and earned the CPM designation in 2014, the most prestigious designation in the industry.

  • Philip Gabriel

    Board Member 2016 – Present

    Owner, Scrubs Unlimited

    I have worked and Lived in the Westwood area for over Fifty years. I have owned Scrubs Unlimited for twenty years and before that I owned a book store called Butler Gabriel Books for about ten years. I also spent five years working for Borders Books and Music on Westwood Blvd.

     

    I coached Youth sports for over thirty years including Baseball, Softball, Basketball  and youth soccer. I attended University High school in WLA and then on to Washington State where I earned a BA in Humanities.

     

    Currently I am a member of the Westwood Village Rotary Club, The Westwood Neighborhood Community council and of course the WLA chamber.  I own a home in Westwood and the building that is home to Scrubs Unlimited.  I am happily Married with three children.

  • Dr. William Manos

    Board Member 2016 – Present

    Dr. Manos is the founder of Food Safety Associates (FSA) and has been President/CEO since 1996.  Food Safety Associates (FSA) was one of the first companies who helped establish the prestigious Los Angeles County ABC rating system.  FSA conducts a full array of Food Safety Services including keeping Extended Care Facilities, Food Processors, Hospitals, Hotels, and Restauranteurs compliant with the FDA/California State Board of Health regulations as well as the local Health Departments.

    Dr. Manos has held executive positions in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Chemical Industry and Academia over the last 35 years.  He was raised in Studio City area of Southern California.  He graduated from Pepperdine University – BS Biology and the University of La Verne – MBA and an MS in Business as well as a PhD in Public Administration.

    Dr. Manos currently works with the CDC, FDA, State Board of Health and many local Health Departments with difficult investigations.  He has been certified as a PCQI by the FDA, meeting all the new FSMA laws and regulations.

  • Kane Biscaya

    Board Member 2018 – Present

    Kane Biscaya currently is the General Manager of KIRN AM 670 / Radio Iran, a Lotus Communications station based in Los Angeles. Kane Biscaya oversees the station’s programming and sales team including: local and national sales, and digital content production. “Lotus Communications & Radio Iran has a rich tradition in the Persian community is 1999,” says Biscaya. “I am proud to be apart of the great team at Radio Iran and continue the legacy of providing great programming to our listeners and advertisers”. 

    Prior to joining Lotus Communications, Biscaya most recently served as Regional Sales Director for CBS Radio. Prior to CBS Radio, he was a General Sales Manager for Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters overseeing a cluster of radio stations in Los Angeles and Monterey, CA and launched America’s #1 Country Station - KKGO FM / Go Country 105.  Biscaya has also held a senior VP management role at Westwood One after starting in production in 1996. Kane graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Liberal Arts Bachelor Degree. During is personal time, he enjoys time with family and spending time with his wife Sharon and boys Shane & Lucas.

  • Nima Mobasser

    Vice-President State Van Rental

    Nima is the Vice-President of Los Angeles based Car Rental company, AAA Rent A Inc., specializing in passenger van rental, with a branch in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nima’s involvement in Car Rental business started in 2009 when he consulted car rental agencies in IT, marketing, strategy, as well as business development.

    Since 2015, Nima serves as a member of Tennant Group, a nationwide consulting group serving car rental operators in all aspects of their business. As of 2016, Nima also serves as an ambassador to ACRA Legislative group, who represents the interests of American Car Rental Association on federal and state levels.

    Nima attended Santa Monica College, then UCLA as a mathematics major. He has since served as a consultant in various capacities (IT, marketing, business development, etc.) for a wide range of businesses, including mortgage industry, real estate firms, social services agencies, car service and dealerships, accounting agencies, design firms, party rental businesses and more.

  • Neema Mahdavian

    Board Member 2018 - Present

    Neema Mahdavian, who is an entrepreneur in the financial world, serves as Vice President Commercial Bank Manager for California Bank & Trust covering the West Los Angeles & Brentwood regions. Having started a banking operation in the Bay Area at age 28 and selling to a large financial firm several years later, he has a strong passion for the community and serves on several other boards in the Los Angeles area.

    Neema has held several leadership roles in and around the banking world and has firsthand experience with the struggles of being an entrepreneur. Neema’s unique experience allows him to provide top notch financial advice and his passion for being an entrepreneur makes him an asset to anyone looking at having a strong banker on their team!

  • Cys Bronner

    Board Member 2018 - Present

    Currently the Executive Director of BNI Los Angeles, Cys became a BNI member in 1997 to grow her own Internet business through word of mouth marketing. In addition to her own public appearances on TV and Radio she has been a frequent speaker at various high level conventions and Universities, in the United States and Canada. She has produced and participated in events that included, The GRAMMYS, The Olympics, Former President Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela, the late Douglas Adams, and Metallica – but not all at once. 

    On a personal note, Cys is a first generation American and attributes all her success to watching her family build post-World War II lives and businesses from their new beginning in the United States. It was this history of hard work ethics and her own personal determination that enabled Cys to start her business with only seven dollars, a dream and a whole lotta Word of Mouth Marketing!

    Dignity Memorial - Life Well Celebrated

     

    Stan Scott has been in the Mortuary Business for over 20 years serving the Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.  He is driven by his passion to ensure families have the best experience during this most difficult time.  He is proud to be a member of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.   Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary is a part of the Dignity Memorial.

  • Nicolai Abramson

    Board Member 2018 - Present

    Nicolai Abramson is a native of Los Angeles, and is a second-generation Los Angeles based attorney. Since 2014, Mr. Abramson has been the principal attorney of Abramson Law, a business and real estate law firm, where he provides his clients with fine tailored legal counsel relating to their business and real estate needs and goals.

    Within the corporate aspect of his practice, Mr. Abramson works with risk takers and innovators to create and develop successful companies. He enjoys working with restaurants to navigate the complicated legal framework and California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license regulations and has developed a niche practice that focuses on ABC licensing and compliance to serve the needs of restaurants and bars. Within the legal aspect of his practice, Mr. Abramson works with real estate holders, developers and landlords to minimize liability and best protect their interests.

    Since growing up in a law practice before the internet was invented, Mr. Abramson strives to continuously take advantage of technology in his practice. In his extra time, Mr. Abramson created a proprietary search engine and online business formation software called INCthat (www.incthat.com), which searches a potential business name against those already registered as a California LLC or California corporation and forms the business entity from the convenience of a few clicks on a smartphone.

    Mr. Abramson holds an AA from Santa Monica College, a BA from UC San Diego, a JD from California Western School of Law and is a Member of the State Bar of California.
